"builders of men"

FARMHOUSE FRATERNITY | AUBURN UNIVERSITY | EST. 1971

"PROGRESS SHALL MARK OUR EVERY STEP"

The object of our fraternity is to promote good fellowship, to encourage studiousness, and to inspire its members in seeking the best in their chosen lines of study as well as in life. Progress shall mark our every step; the spirit of congeniality shall reign at all times; and every member shall be honest with himself as with his brothers. Men elected to our membership are considered to be of good moral character, to be high in scholarship, to have the capacity for meeting and making friends, and to give promise of service to their fellowmen and to the world. To be and become such may at times require a sacrifice of time, pleasures and comforts.

Welcome to the Alpha Zeta chapter of FarmHouse Fraternity at Auburn University. Since our founding in 1971, we have been one of the top fraternities on campus each year. We pride ourselves in excellence in everything we do ranging from academics, sports, community service, philanthropy and campus involvement. As a brother of FarmHouse Fraternity, you are constantly surrounded my strong, motivated young men who will hold you accountable and challenge you to become a better man. Brothers are constantly looking out for one another and are willing to lend a helping hand at any time. As a fraternity, we serve one another and the Auburn community with our time and giftedness.

Personally, I have enjoyed giving back to the fraternity because it has already given me so much. Although, we call Auburn home for 4-5 years, FarmHouse formulates friendships and memories for life. If you are interested in rushing FarmHouse please contact our Rush Chairman and see our calendar for upcoming rush events. If you are an alumni wanting to contact or reconnect with FarmHouse please email our Vice President of Alumni Relations. Finally, if you are just wanting to learn more about FarmHouse I hope you find this website useful and feel free to contact me with any questions.

Fraternally,
Tanner Cox

RECRUITMENT

We are glad that you have shown interest in joining our brotherhood and we look forward to meeting you at one of our upcoming summer recruitment events or later on this fall. As an incoming freshman, the decision whether or not to pledge a fraternity, and which one, is a difficult one to make; however, looking back it is hard to imagine what our time in college would have looked like without the men standing beside us now. During your time on this campus, you will find there is no one mold for the "Auburn Man" and likewise there is no single definition for what this chapter values in a member. Rather, we are a group dedicated to the betterment of our members, "As iron sharpens iron," and through this both the betterment of this campus and the communities in which we will go on to work and start a family.

For more information regarding rush, Jason Johnsey (205.910.8032) and Brooks Blevins (404.435.7234) are serving as this year's Rush Chairmen and would be glad to answer any questions you might have. If you would like to receive updates on upcoming rush events, please fill out the Contact form, below.

testimonials

"Just thought the other day when working out with another Farmhouse brother..."a sacrifice of time, pleasure, and comforts"...the words live on in my brain and in how we live our lives. The words permeate all areas of my life as a husband, father, brother, manager, and friend. Farm House did inspire me to seek the best in life."

Mark Wuerslin

"I didn't plan on joining a Fraternity when I started college. The Spring of my Freshman year I decided to go through rush and I am so glad that I did. I don't exaggerate to say that twelve years later some of my closest relationships are still with the friends I made in FarmHouse. There is nothing more influential to our present and future than the community of people we surround ourselves with. I am so thankful for the guys I shared my four  years of college with in FarmHouse Fraternity."

David Talbert, Spring '03

"When I made it to Auburn as a Freshman, I needed to find a group of people with similar beliefs and character. It was easy for me to find people with different backgrounds and beliefs, but I needed a core of people who could help mold me into the best version of myself for my college years. I was never the "perfect" college student, but memories and and experiences I have had from the first years at school helped me to become who I am today. I would say that those relationships made FarmHouse the best part of college."

Dear Parents,

Few times in life are we able to give back to individuals or groups that have helped us along our life journey. As an Auburn FarmHouse alumni, I have had the privilege of giving back to the fraternity by serving as Chapter Advisor for 15 years. FarmHouse strives to provide the tools for its members to reach one's fullest potential by building the whole man spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially/morally. The greatest reward I experience as a fraternity advisor is to see young men enter college with a sense of uncertainty and then a few years later have become productive individuals with a desire to for betterment to all individuals.

We at the Auburn University Chapter of FarmHouse Fraternity strive each day to live by our motto; "Builders of Men."

Please feel free to contact me by phone or emails at any time with questions or concerns you may have of the fraternity or your son's involvement with FarmHouse. War Eagle.
